Our Philosophy

Our dedication, experience, and expertise lead to maximum success in treating every individual. Not all clients are the same. Therefore, we provide customized treatment plans to each client.

Communication is an essential part of daily life, from conveying emotions to establishing relationships and progressing in one’s career. Adults, however, occasionally struggle with speech, language, or cognitive-communication ability because of medical conditions, trauma, or developmental delay. At Speechworks Therapy Services, we offer empathetic and research-based speech therapy for adults to assist individuals in gaining confidence and enhancing their effective communication skills.

Why Adults May Need Speech Therapy?

There are people who think that speech therapy is only for children; this is not true because there are quite a number of adults who suffer from speech/language issues at some stage in their lives. Our licensed pathologists provide adult speech therapy to help treat a range of conditions, such as:

  • Aphasia resulting from brain damage or injury that compromises the power of speech, the ability to understand, or the use of the correct words while speaking.
  • Cognitive-communication impairments affect memories, problem-solving, and planning of thoughts.
  • Fluency impairments such as stuttering can be lifelong.
  • Voice disorders affect the quality, pitch, and/or volume of the voice.
  • Speech difficulties in clarity due to illness, neurological conditions, or trauma.

We all have our own ways, hence we create individual plans of treatment, ensuring that we deal with the unique needs of a client.

  • Strategic approach for fluent speech and to reduce stuttering.

  • Cognitive activities modify the mind to enhance memory, attention, and problem-solving ability.
  • Voice training is a way of recapturing healthy, confident communication.

Our therapists use interactive tools and evidence-based methods, and involve the clients in the process. Our adult speech therapy isn’t explicitly aimed at just improving communication, but at life itself and independence.
